For over 30 years, Barbara has been the driving force behind the fashion eyewear at Nicholls Optometrists. With her background in design, Barbara ensures that the range of frames on display remains fresh and up-to-date. Her collaboration with representatives from various international eyewear companies guarantees a stylish and unique selection for every individual.
Barbara thrives on working directly with clients, guiding them on a style journey to find a frame that boosts the wearers self-confidence and enhances natural features. Her goal is to provide each client with a style choice that makes a lasting impression.
MANAGER
Catherine is the heart of Nicholls Optometrists, having managed the practice for over 25 years. She has always been determined to go above and beyond to ensure first-class service is delivered and all needs are met by seamlessly communicating with patients and suppliers. Recognized for her genuine honesty and keen eye for frame selection, many clients entrust Catherine to guide them toward glasses they truly adore.

Karen has been a highly valued member of the Nicholls team for over 20 years, providing comprehensive eye care services. Throughout the years, Karen has built a reputation for the precision, accuracy and care she offers her patients. Karen approaches each patient with meticulous attention to detail, considering factors such as ocular health, lifestyle and visual requirements. Her ability to thoroughly assess individual needs allows her to recommend and fit glasses and contact lenses that optimise comfort, vision quality, and eye health for each person.

Germaine is a therapeutically qualified optometrist, who graduated with honours from the University of New South Wales in 1999. Her extensive experience includes working in Australia and serving as a teaching supervisor at the School of Optometry at UNSW and more recently at the University of Auckland School of Optometry.
Germaine’s commitment to global vision health is evident through her participation in volunteer vision aid projects around the world. In 2018, she furthered her expertise by completing a Certificate in Myopia Control from the Brien Holden Vision Institute.
Throughout her career at Nicholls Optometrists, patients have come to value Germaine’s thoroughness, accuracy, and cheerful approach to optometry. Her dedication to providing exceptional care and her passion for improving vision health make her an invaluable member of the team.

Robyn is an indispensable member of the Nicholls team, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of every patient she encounters. Robyn’s dedication to eye care extends beyond her role at Nicholls and Associates, as she also contributes her expertise to the Eye Department at Greenlane Hospital. Often working in paediatrics at Greenlane, Robyn has extensive experience working with children and their families to ensure the best visual solution is obtained. Therapeutically qualified, Robyn also has a special interest in ocular pathology, utilizing her knowledge to diagnose and manage various eye conditions. With her warm and empathetic demeanour, she has a remarkable ability to put patients at ease and create a welcoming environment where they feel truly understood and cared for.

Georgia, a third-generation Nicholls optometrist, graduated with first-class honours from the University of Auckland in 2020. With a lifetime immersed in optometry, she understands first-hand the transformative impact visual enhancements can have on individuals’ lives. Georgia’s keen interest in the emerging field of myopia control drives her to stay up to date with the latest research and developments to ensure her patients receive the most advanced care possible. She also enjoys helping clients select new frames and dispensing glasses, using her expertise to find the perfect eyewear that suits their style and meets their needs.

Christine completed her Bachelor of Optometry degree with honours from The University of Auckland. Driven by a commitment to preserving vision, she excels in the early detection of eye conditions and improving visual acuity through tailored solutions with spectacles and contact lenses. With a particular interest in myopia control, Christine is well-versed in orthokeratology contact lenses having worn them herself. With English as her first language, she is also fluent in Korean.
Distinguishing ourselves from other optometry practices, both our lens and eyewear consultants hold a Bachelor of Optometry degree, providing them with a unique insight into ophthalmic optics. Both Adrienne and Vicky bring to their roles high-quality communication and problem-solving skills. Their comprehensive knowledge of the more technical aspects of lenses and prescriptions allows them to excel at handling complex dispensing requirements. Sheryl has over 30 years experience in the optical industry. Sheryl embodies the essence of care, her gentle nature and patient demeanour infusing warmth into every interaction.
